NEWS: South African prosecutors have sparked outrage after charging 270 miners with the murders of 34 of their striking colleagues who were shot dead by police...
I am seriously alarmed at what the prosecutors have done in South Africa. I'm gobsmacked. They have charged the 'striking miners' with the murders of their colleagues. Yes, that's right, their friends and colleagues who were shot by the police... excuse me?
New Zealand recently moved (somewhat) away from the 'he/she/they made me do it' defence. We are a shameful Nation with regards our levels of domestic violence - bashing each other up because we blame them for the way we feel.
But it appears the SA prosecutors have an Apartheid-era law (!) that allows them to do this. How can this be? I fear the worst for those poor souls.
