Britain's Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu, said recently: "If we want a happier and less divided society, then an important step would be to reduce the income differences between rich and poor."

My view is is somewhat different from the good Archbishop's:
If we want to be happier and wealthier, we can only do that as we take more responsibility for our attitude to happiness and wealth.
So long as I hold others responsible for the circumstances of my life I'm almost powerless to have what I want.

I have many questions and few answers to the old adage: "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer."

My spontaneous thought is this: If it is true that 'we become what we think about' then I have to ask, "What do the rich think abou?t" and "What do the poor think about."
