      What Makes You Happy?

      Picture

Ten classic ways to be happy this Christmas.
      1.  Be optimistic. (The healthy option)
      2.  Stay close to family and friends.
      3.  Follow your instincts.
      4.  Live in the moment not the past.
      5.  Forgive.
      6.  Money. What is your magic number?
      7.  Find happiness in your work.
      8.  Smile a lot.
      9.  Put a stop to putting it off.
      10. Challenge yourself.

      So how was your year?

      Picture
Surely New Zealand offers one of the best lifestyles on the planet?

      It's been a tough year.
You'll have no problem remembering the trying moments.
But what about the good times you had? What were you doing? Who were you with? How were you feeling?
Are you looking forward to some good times in the next few weeks? Making plans?
      • We're approaching the 'holiday season'  aka 'The Festive Season'.
      •  I like this: festive |ˈfestiv| adjective
      •  'Festive', of or relating to a festival: parties are held and festive food is served.
      •  cheerful and jovially celebratory: the somber atmosphere has given way to a festive mood.
      • What are you plans for creating a 'festive mood' this Christmas?
      • My first choice is to observe and see where I can express my gratitude and appreciation. I think this is a very festive thing to do!
      • I mean, what's the purpose of giving gifts if not to say 'thank you'. Gifts are tokens of acknowledgment.
      • Thank you for your valued support this year and I wish you a wonderful and blessed Christmas time!

7 Ways To Enjoy 'The Good Life' In 2012

      Picture

Do you have more ‘Joie de vivre’ than you remember five years ago? Are you aware of achieving your goals? What do you spend your time thinking about? It’s been challenging times for a lot of people. Here’s a handful of ideas that can make a difference.

      1. STAYING HEALTHY. It’s hard to be happy when you don’t feel well! How deliberate are you in choosing what you and your family eat? And we all know that 20 minutes exercise a day is good for our health!

      2.  ENJOYABLE RELATIONSHIPS. Good friends and companionship. We are social creatures, we need them. Why are they so elusive? Check out your EQ* levels!

      3.   SATISFYING PRODUCTIVITY.  A sense of accomplishment, of being worthwhile and appreciated for our effort. Try being happy without that!

      4.   MENTAL HEALTH. The human mind loves to learn - when it’s not clogged with trivia. Our quality of life is directly influenced by what we focus on.

      5.   A KIND DISPOSITION. Being thoughtful towards others is an art form. Adding value to the lives of others enriches yours. The pathway to a kind disposition is gratitude.

      6.   SPIRITUAL AWARENESS. We all have spiritual needs, peace of mind. We need a faith in someone, something outside of ourselves. My faith is in ‘God’s Gracious Design.’

      7.   MONEY! You can’t buy the first six items on this list! What is chewing up your money?

      * EQ: Emotional Intelligence - managing your emotions in an overloaded life. I have prepared a new brochure exclusively  for my readers. Please accept with my compliments:
